Welcome from Jeff and Georgia Miller!
Jeff and I met in early 2015. I took over as his radio advertising representative for his auto repair business. We hit it off right away, sharing many common views and interests. We both have a hard time sitting still, therefore we’ve both had a lot of different hobbies over the years.
In June of 2017 Jeff purchased an old dilapidated dairy farm with dreams of building a runway and hanger for his 1953 Cessna 170. Those dreams took a backseat when after two days of living on the farm he fell 15 feet off a ladder and was instantly paralyzed from the waist down. Jeff was and remains one of the most positive people I know. He truly is an inspiration to all that come to know him. I started coming over to help him with mundane chores such as grocery shopping and laundry. (The washer and dryer are down a flight of stairs, definitely not wheelchair accessible.) Our friendship grew into something much deeper and I began spending more and more time at the farm. Then one day I didn’t leave.
We were married in June of 2021 during a record breaking heat wave. Other than a few people melting, the day was perfect!
With Jeff’s complete faith and support, I was able to quit my high-pressured, sales position, to dedicate myself to realizing our dream of creating a sustainable farm. Thus began HOPES HORIZON RANCH. We believe that in order to be sustainable we must be diversified, therefore we have several products we intend to offer publicly. Currently we produce hay from our gorgeous acreage on the valley floor. Within the next couple years we intend to have additional crops to bring to market. We’re also growing a herd of Dexter cows, which are known for their exceptional meat quality, milk production and lesser impact on the environment.
2021 showed us that boosting our immune systems is vital and we know that eating a diet, high in nutrition-dense foods is key. We began researching different crops that would provide the highest levels of nutrition. We discovered the tremendous health benefits of Microgreens and that our area had little to no options for purchasing these living foods. So we started VALLEY GREENS! We are extremely proud to be able to provide these incredibly immune boosting products to our friends and neighbors.
We have so many hopes on the horizon, from dreams of recreating this old farm and adapting it to suit us, to getting Jeff back in the air. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
